How do I record from a MU-80??

Hi/howdy/hello again. Not sure if anyone here is big into making music but I'm asking everyone I can because Google is giving me 80 different/out of date answers with various 3 - 4 digit price tags lmao

So I ended up with a Yamaha MU-80 (manual here), and I'd love to use it, but I know a grand total of ✨fuck all✨ when it comes to this type of thing. I do know that if I set it up wrong I could blast something out, which is expensive, and I Do Not Want That. I have nothing but my old midi keyboard from middle school, so I'm available to whatever other hardware it is I need. 👍

I know it's possible in general (yt link), but I don't have an older computer like they do/the manual expects, sadly won't for a while, and surely there's a better way than that? Something more... Portable?

Idk I really just got thrown into the deep end with this, haha.
